June 2025 Student of the Month

The Student of the Month for June is Grace Allison, a Grade 12 student at Tecumseh Vista Academy. Grace is an outstanding role model for this month鈥檚 theme of 鈥渓eadership鈥.

In every community, there are those rare individuals who lead not for recognition, but because they truly care. A leader takes initiative, serves as a role model, and inspires not through authority, but through authenticity, empathy, and action. Grace is exactly that kind of leader.

A welcoming and positive presence at Tecumseh Vista, Grace seems to effortlessly brighten even the darkest days. She has become a pillar of the TVA community, embodying leadership through her actions, her words, and her unwavering commitment to others.

Being so involved in school doesn't take away from her academic success. Maintaining over a 95% average for all four years of high school and winning multiple awards, Grace prioritizes academic achievement by knowing how to balance extracurriculars, a part time job, and her responsibilities leading Student Parliament.

Grace has consistently stepped up to lead with purpose and passion. As Student Parliament Prime Minister, she ensures that every voice is heard and every student feels included. Whether she's speaking at assemblies, leading spirit weeks, planning events like Culture Fest, semi-formal, or organizing school-wide initiatives, Grace puts her whole heart into everything she does. Her legendary Excel spreadsheets and colour-coded calendars indicate the care and organization she brings to every task.

With over 400 volunteer hours, Grace鈥檚 impact extends into the broader community. She is an active member of Jack.org, advocating for mental health awareness and the importance of kindness in everyday life. Alongside her family, she runs the Alliwonga Foundation which has raised over $100,000 for cancer research, through everything from fitness classes to bake sales.

Grace Allison doesn鈥檛 just lead; she lifts. She doesn鈥檛 just serve; she inspires. Her leadership is rooted in compassion and a relentless drive to make the world a little brighter wherever she goes. Grace is truly deserving of this recognition.

Congratulations Grace on being selected by Student Senate as the June Student of the Month for 鈥渓eadership鈥!
