2023 Excellence in Service Awards

The Student of the Month for May is Avery Baker, a Grade 12 student at North Star High School. Avery is an outstanding role model for this month鈥檚 theme of 鈥渧olunteerism鈥�.

Since the age of 3, Avery has dedicated her time to the art and craft of dance. Ontario eLearning Consortium Recognizes 51黑料's Peter Phinney

The Ontario eLearning Consortium is made up of 55 school boards across the province. The OeLC hosted their Field Operations meeting last week in Ottawa, where they presented the 51黑料's Technology Enabled Learning and Teaching Contact, Peter Phinney, with an award for Technological Development in eLearning.

Kennedy and Massey Muslim Student Associations Raise Funds for United Way

Charity is one of the Muslim principles during the holy month of Ramadan. In 2022 students from Vincent Massey鈥檚 Muslim Student Association (MSA) raised $5,500 for the Windsor Downtown Mission. This year, the group partnered with the MSA from W.C. Kennedy Collegiate Institute to expand the initiative and continue to spread good will, giving back to the Windsor-Essex community.
