Whether due to illness, a medical appointment or other important events, there are times when students will need to be away from school. Please, if possible, try to book appointments outside of school hours.
Report an absence
If a student is going to be late or absent, please notify us through our using your parent/guardian Edsby account, or call us at 519-969-2530 (extension 1 for grades 9 and 12 or extension 2 for grades 10 and 11).
Enter the Edsby absence or call by 8:30 AM if possible. If not, then as soon as you know about the pending absence. Messages may be left 24 hours a day. If entered ahead of time - then the student may leave at the assigned time. If entered at the last minute then the attendance office must confirm with the parent / guardian prior to the student leaving.
COVID-19 self-assessment and testing
All students must complete the before attending school each day. You can also view on the 51黑料 YouTube channel.
Leaving school during the day
If a student needs to leave school during the school day, they need to notify the attendance office with a note, Edsby absence, or phone call from home before leaving the building.
Remote learning absence
We still take attendance during remote learning. If a student is not online and you have not reported their absence, you will receive a call from the school, inquiring about the absence.
